April 14, 2024 (Willows, CA) – Michael McColligan, driving the #36 MC Racing Mazda RX8 survived the
rain to finish third in round 1 of the Hankook United States Touring Car Championship at Thunderhill
Raceway.

April 14th 2024: Teams in the The United States Touring Car Championship's first round of 2024 found a challenging qualifying session at Thunderhill Raceway as an unexpected rainstorm drenched the facility the morning of qualifying.

Willows, CA - The 2024 season opener saw the Gogogear.com Honda Civic Type R change
classes from the ST class to TC and went on to finish in second place.

Summit Point, W.V. - Braci Racing Team debuted the 2024 season at Summit Point Motorsports Park this past weekend. BRT has been struggling with the brakes on the Civic since last season, fighting a soft pedal with rear brakes locking up on every corner entry.

The United States Touring Car Championship kicked off this year at Thunder Hill Raceway park, and Milburn Motorsports came out to start their season off strong with Daniel Milburn running their Acura RSX-S, and Sean Milburn running their BMW E36 M3.

The MBO Motorsports Racing Honda Civic Si team returned to action for the 2024 United States Touring Car Championship Series season opener round one and took the win in the Sportsman class.

Willows, CA – Ali Arsham, driving the GoGoGear.com/Konig Wheels Hyundai Genesis Coupe finished fourth in the United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) round 1 at Thunderhill Raceway on April 14, 2024.

Millville, NJ – New Jersey native Roger Maeda brought home the Championship Gold at his home track, clinching the fast lap of the race from his pro racing competitors while securing his first USTCC Championship Trophy.

This year-long victory would only come after a gauntlet of three close races in which the StudioVRM.Racing Honda Prelude fended off challenges from racers in both the Sportsman and Super Touring classes. When the dust settled, it was the privateer Honda team that emerged on top, clocking the fastest lap out of any of the US Touring Car Championship cars that raced this weekend.

September 17, 2023 (Watkins Glen, N.Y.) – Handicapped by 100 lbs of REWARDS weight from his early season wins and saddled with the lowest top speed of all cars in the USTCC East Series, touring car driver Roger Maeda expected an uphill battle for the team at the fast and flowing Watkins Glen International. And indeed, it would be a case of damage limitation for the team as they contended with the challenge of keeping faster cars behind them on a famously unforgiving track.

Veteran entrepreneur, advertising leader, and new US Touring Car Championship Racer Dr. Mark Young is planning to set a new Guinness World Record at Round 4 of the USTCC East Series on August 26-27.

July 23, 2023 (Summit Point, W.V.) – Andrew Conner, driving the #66 On Q Racing BMW E90 finished 3rd in Round 3 of the Hankook Tires United States Touring Car Championship East Coast Series at Summit Point Motorsports Park.

July 23, 2023 (Summit Point, W.V.) – It was a weekend of mixed fortunes for StudioVRM’s Roger Maeda, as the team converted another back row start to collect valuable series points along with a class win. But it was also a race of what could have been, as the team’s aero-equipped Prelude repeatedly found itself stuck in traffic behind 300+hp big bore cars, unable to show the potential of the Spec B upgrade package that the team prepared for Round 3 of the US Touring Car Championship East Series.

Sonoma, CA (July 24, 2023) -- Famous for its intensely technical corners and razor-thin margins for error,
Sonoma Raceway hosted a hard-fought Round 3 of the United States Touring Car Championship. When
the dust settled, driver of the #35 BMW Seong Kim finished just shy of the podium in the Touring Car
class. Gary Sheehan, Larry Bani, and Daniel Rose placed first, second, and third, respectively.

June 25, 2023 (Sonoma, CA) –Tom Lepper, driving the #34 GOGOGEAR Racing Honda Civic suffered
mechanical setbacks but still managed to finish fourth in round 3 of the 2023 Hankook Tires United
States Touring Car Championship at Sonoma Raceway.

Round three of the 2023 United States Touring Car Championship took place at Sonoma Raceway. This time featuring the IndyCar turn 9 kink.

Sonoma Raceway, CA - May 6th, 2023 - Gary Sheehan, driver of the #31 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L for
GoGoGear.com Racing, showcased an impressive performance in the US Touring Car Championship race
number three at Sonoma Raceway. Sheehan claimed both the pole position in qualifying and the race victory, solidifying his position as a leading contender in the championship.

May 28, 2023 (Millville, N.J.) – An unusual set of circumstances forced StudioVRM.Racing driver Roger Maeda to start from the back of the Big Bore field at the 2nd round of the 2023 USTCC East Series. Undeterred by the setback, Roger fought his way through the field before a broken outer CV joint relegated Team StudioVRM.Racing to a distant 2nd place in Sportsman class.

New Jersey Motorsports Park was a gracious host to the United States Touring Car Championship competitors this past Memorial Day weekend. Sunny skies and excellent racing weather was the setting for nearly the entire weekend sans a few drops of rain on Sunday during the feature race.

The weekend would prove to be a successful one for Pittsburgh, PA based team Mezzanine Motorsports for the second running of their new Porsche Cayman S in ST class.

May 28, 2023 (MIlleville, N.J.) – Andrew Conner, driving the #66 On Q Racing BMW E90 finished 2nd in Round 2 of the Hankook Tires United States Touring Car Championship East Coast Series at New Jersey Motorsports Park’s 1.9 Mile Lightning Raceway.

The Path to Reading Success/Ground Control/Racing Diffs BMW # 65 of Ben Penn returned for round
two of the USTCC series after a long winter refresh, to finish third place in the Sportsman category.
Penn completed Round One in Las Vegas, driving the Go-Go Gear Honda Civic and finishing in fourth.

Willows, CA - In only the second race weekend for the new Honda Civic Type R, Team
Gogogear.com managed to find the top step of the podium and take the car’s maiden victory.
The weekend was not without trouble as the team worked hard to optimize the cooling package
on the car. The cooler temps compared to Round 1 at Las Vegas helped bring the car alive and
allowed both drivers, Reza Arsham and Gordon Pun to explore the limits of the car further. Not
all the sessions were flawless however, the team only managed a couple laps on Saturday due
to a radiator hose coming loose during a practice session. Despite a few small hiccups along
the way, the team got the car ready for qualifying on Sunday and managed their quickest lap of
the weekend thusfar, a 2 minute 3 second lap, not blistering fast, but respectable for the car in
it’s current state. The small field in ST meant that the lap was good enough for pole position,
with the competitors also having car troubles of their own.

Willows, CA (April 30, 2023) – Seong Kim, driver of the #35 GoGoGear BMW, secured a P4
finish in the Touring Car class at Thunderhill Raceway. Teammates Gary Sheehan and Fred
Snow placed P3 and P5, respectively. All three drivers celebrated the Top Team Award, which
was presented to the GoGoGear Racing Team.

3.8L for GoGoGear.com Racing, battled through a challenging race weekend to secure a podium
finish in the US Touring Car Championship race number 2 at Thunderhill Raceway.

April 30, 2023 (Willows, CA) –Tom Lepper, driving the #34 GOGOGEAR Racing Honda Civic won round 2
of the 2023 Hankook Tires United States Touring Car Championship at Thunderhill Raceway, after an
epic battle, moving the driving team of Lepper/McColligan into the Sportsman Class Points Lead.

Chris Evertsen was driving The Speed Traveler #37 BMW. When the green flag dropped, the
battle was fierce and fair. The lead changed hands many times throughout the race between
Evertsen and Tom Lepper in the #30 Konig Wheels GoGoGear Racing Honda. A last lap mistake
by Evertsen proved fatal as Lepper made the pass for the win. On this day, Evertsen will just
have to be happy with second place...

Las Vegas, NV – Being part of a big team has its advantages and that was proven at Las Vegas. Ben Penn
was scheduled to drive his BMW 328i but time ran out and the car was not ready for the race. With his
championship hopes in the balance, Penn was offered a ride in another team car, last year’s
championship winning Honda Civic. With only one practice session to learn the track and having to start
in the back, winning was a tall order. But Penn managed to do really well working his way up to the lead
before a broken wheel stud finished his race in the Konig Wheels Honda Civic. “It was great to be able to
at least score some points and have a shot at the championship. It is a long season and this is just round
1 so anything can happen, said Ben Penn.

Las Vegas, NV - After officially debuting the Honda Civic Type R at the SEMA show back in
October at the Konig Wheels Booth, Round 1 of the United States Touring Car Championship
was the first time the team was able to return to the famous Las Vegas, Nevada to showcase an
off-season’s worth of hard work preparing the car for competition. The GoGoGear.com team is
no stranger to developing new platforms for racing and knows the challenges of new builds. The
first session out showed the potential of the car, right out of the gate the car ran well and was
functioning properly. The water temperature was creeping up as the session progressed, but it
was to be expected with the ambient temperature rising as well. Other than having to watch the
temperature, the car was handling well and was performing as it should. The balance of the car
was very planted thanks to the JRZ suspension and the large APR wing at the back for the high
speed corners. In the tighter corners, the Progress rear sway bar helped to rotate the car and
the Acuity shifter meant that shifts were instant and effortless.

Las Vegas, NV (April 16, 2023) – Seong Kim piloted the GoGoGear #35 BMW to second place
in the Touring Car class at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The P2 finish marks the third race of his
career, his first podium finish and his first race at LVMS. He also took home the Plastex Top
Rookie award and participated in the Top Team award, which was presented to the GoGoGear
Racing Team. Teammates Gary Sheehan and Tom Lepper placed first and third, respectively.

April 16, 2023 (Las Vegas, CA) – Michael McColligan, driving the #36 MC Racing Mazda RX8 battled oil
temperatures and fire systems to finish P3 at Round 1 of the 2023 Hankook Tires United States Touring
Car Championship at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Gary Sheehan and the #31 GoGoGear Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L arrived at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
for the first race of the 2023 USTCC season rejuvenated and ready to kick off the year at a track they have
historically performed well at.

The 2023 USTCC season began at the Las Vegas Speedway for The Speed Traveler #37 BMW, driven by
Chris Evertsen and prepared and engineered by Ben Penn.

The 2023 USTCC season began in fine style with a photo finish at the Las Vegas Motor
Speedway for The Speed Traveler GoGo Gear Honda S2000, driven by Charlie Frank
and prepared by crew chief Raymond Brenneman.

An overall USTCC win in the Round 1 Feature Race was the last thing Roger Maeda expected after electrical problems put him out of qualifying and a post-Heat Race crash cracked the Prelude's front splitter.

Yet, through the perseverance of his crew, an aggressive heat race performance on Saturday, and a determined drive on Sunday, the StudioVRM.Racing team crossed the finish line first in both the Sportsman Class as well as the entire USTCC grid.

In the most well attended opening Mid Atlantic Road Racing Series event since 2013 the USTCC East coast drivers filled in to historic Summit Point Motorsports Park.

The number 13 Mezzanine Motorsports Cayman S would have its maiden voyage around the 2 mile circuit in hopes of winning out against closest rivals in Super Touring; On Q Racing and Andrew Conner in his BMW 325.

Ben Penn in the #65 Path to Reading Success/Racer Coffee BMW pulled off a win on Saturday and then backed it up on Sunday with a second place finish during the USTCC double header finale held at Thunderhill.

November 13, 2022 (Willows, CA) – Michael McColligan and Tom Lepper, driving the #34 GOGOGEAR Racing Honda Civic finished P2 and P1 respectively during the double-header rounds 7 and 8 of the Hankook Tires United States Touring Car Championship at Thunderhill Raceway, securing the 2022 Sportsman Class Championship.

Walnut Creek, CA – The penultimate as well as the ultimate race of the 2022 United States Touring Car Championship was held at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Willows, CA. With only a few points difference between the two leading cars, this was the Championship deciding weekend in the Touring Class (TC).

Walnut Creek, CA – The highly anticipated United States Touring Car Championship Rounds 7 and 8 at Thunderhill Raceway Park marked the season finale. With a race each on Saturday and Sunday, all drivers aimed to garner as many of the remaining championship points as possible.

Gary Sheehan and the #31 GoGoGear Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L arrived at Thunderhill Raceway for the final two races of the 2022 USTCC season. Codriver Reza Arsham would miss the weekend due to illness, which put Sheehan on double-duty for the double-header. Arsham/Sheehan came into the weekend just 15 points between the championship leading duo of Gary Trudeau/Dave Brown driving the Red Panther Racing Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L. The pressure was on as two race wins was the likely scenario for Arsham/Sheehan to finish ahead in the points championship.

Gary Sheehan got back behind the wheel of the #31 GoGoGear Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L for race 2 of the IndyCar weekend at Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca on September 11th. The duo of Gary Sheehan and Reza Arsham came into the weekend in 2nd place in the championship with the intent to come out of the weekend with the championship lead in the USTCC Touring Car class. Things didn’t work out as planned!

August 21, 2022 (Sonoma, CA) – Tom Lepper, driving the #34 GOGOGEAR Racing Honda Civic, finished just off the podium in P4 after another storming drive at Round 4 of the Hankook Tires United States Touring Car Championship at Sonoma Raceway.

September 11, 2022 (Monterey, CA) – Michael McColligan, driving the #36 MC Racing Mazda RX8 battled hard to finish P5 and keep the team of McColligan/Lepper in the season points lead at Round 6 of the Hankook Tires United States Touring Car Championship at Laguna Seca Raceway.

Walnut Creek, CA – The United States Touring Car Championship Rounds 5 and 6 took place at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Participating as a support group for the season-ending Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey in the 2022 NTT INDYCAR SERIES, USTCC drivers enjoyed the attention of the large crowds and the opportunity to engage with many car enthusiasts!

Walnut Creek, CA – The United States Touring Car Championship ran its Round 5 and 6 as the support series to the NTT Indy Car Series season finale during the Firestone Monterey GP at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca.

The Championship Title was dead-even going into the double header weekend at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca. Racing in front of the massive stage that is the Indycar series finale adds another level of intensity to our races.

The #31 GoGoGear Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L and driver Gary Sheehan came out the previous race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA with a dominant win as the US Touring Car Championship headed to the team’s home race at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, CA, with the driving team of Gary Sheehan/Reza Arsham closing the gap between their 2nd place position in the championship against the championship leading line-up of Gary Trudeau/Dave Brown in another Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8L.

Walnut Creek, CA – Yellow is the new red for Bob Accardo in the #29 car and the Red Panther Motorsport team. Getting the red 5th Gen Howe Camaro sold and acquiring a newer 6th Gen Howe Camaro mid season, the challenge was to not miss a race. The #29 RPM team accomplished their goal, and then some!

Walnut Creek, CA – The United States Touring Car Championship Round 4 and Marion’s third race in this group took place at Sonoma Raceway. The weekend yielded many challenges, but the last one cut Marion’s race short and left her stranded on a strip of track just after Turn 6 about half-way through the race.

Walnut Creek, CA – All weekend long Reto Baumann was running on old sets of the Hankook Motorsport’s tires, turning competitive laps. Team Red Panther Motorsport was looking forward to that race with a brand-new set of sticky tires mounted, the temperatures having dropped to a perfect level for the Garrett turbo powered #53 VW Jetta 2.0 GLI DSG. Everything was looking good and Reto Baumann, not having turned laps at Sonoma Raceway for about a year, was continuously improving his lap times. But it wasn’t to be…

San Ramon, CA – It didn’t look like Justin Crickenberger would even be able to make it to Round 3 of the United States Touring Car Championship at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. After two wins in a row and leading the Championship, Justin wasn’t to lose the lead even if not being able to make this round.

June 12, 2022 (Fontana, CA) – Michael McColligan, driving the #36 MC Racing Mazda RX8 stormed back
onto the podium finishing in P2 at Round 3 of the Hankook Tires United States Touring Car
Championship at Auto Club Speedway.

San Ramon, CA – The Accurate Arms / Race Marketing sponsored #29 Chevy Camaro driven by Bob Accardo shined bright on the high banks of the Auto Club Speedway Roval in Fontana, CA.

San Ramon, CA – Finally Reto Baumann was able to get back in the driver seat. Practically the first time this year that he was able to wheel the #53 Volkswagen Jetta 2.0 GLI powered by 034Motorsport. And Auto Club Speedway at Fontana, CA is a track he doesn’t have that much experience on. It provides a unique and super-fast challenge with using the NASCAR oval banking for T1 and T2 which are taken at around 145mph flat… Your brain surely tells you one thing, but your right foot must stay planted firmly to the bottom of the accelerator and you trust your car and the physics to make if through. You don’t have that on any of the other tracks in California.

San Ramon, CA – Following her United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) debut in the Touring Car class last month at Sonoma Raceway, Marion Engelke drove to P3 at last weekend’s Round 3 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA in only her seventh wheel to wheel race (Still one more race to leave the Rookie status behind). This is Marion’s first podium finish in USTCC, and it was topped off appropriately with a thorough champagne dousing!

San Ramon, CA – After two wins in a row by Dave Brown at Thunderhill Raceway, and Gary Trudeau at Sonoma Raceway, the hopes for a third in a row were naturally high at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA for the #52 Hyundai Genesis Coupe with its driver pairing. This time, it would again be Gary Trudeau to wheel the car.

Thunderhill was a rough start to the season for Milburn Motorsports, who ended up coming up short due to issues with a newly installed shifter in their car. For round two, the team had high hopes at Sonoma Raceway, lead driver Sean Milburn’s home track. I spoke with Sean early in the weekend about what changes they had made since Thunderhill, and how they planned to come out on top this weekend. Sean explained, “We made some setup adjustments to the car after round one, trying to figure out the most optimal way to get the car to rotate reliably. After going out in the car for practice and qualifying, I am confident that the changes we made have put us in the right direction."

Sonoma, CA - Driving the Konig Wheels Hyundai Genesis Coupe for the second time this season, Reza Arsham was keen to improve on his disappointing finish to the first round. After retiring from the lead at Thunderhill, Arsham had a points deficit to make up at the second round to keep pace with the leaders.

Sonoma, CA - After subbing in for co-driver Fred Snow at the last minute, at round one due to illness, Ali Arsham continues where he left off after a stunning second place finish. The weekend was one of balance for Arsham.

Sonoma, CA - Stepping in for teammate Michael McColligan for the second race of the USTCC season was 4 time Chamion Tom Lepper. After a few years away from USTCC racing, Lepper found his way back into the field with the GoGoGear.com Racing Team and their race winning Honda Civic.

San Ramon, CA – It really didn’t look like Justin Crickenberger hasn’t been to Sonoma Raceway for a long while. He also has never been here with his #72 Honda Civic si. Thus, Justin decided to make use of some additional track time through TrackMasters on Friday afternoon prepping for Round 2 of the 2022 United States Touring Car Championship.

San Ramon, CA – After what happened at Round 1 and Thunderhill Raceway, it was no wonder Reto Baumann was looking forward to Round 2 at Sonoma Raceway. But again, it wasn’t to be. Coming back from a vacation trip, he had a positive COVID infection and had to call up an Emergency Driver in the person of Gary Sheehan, who was happy to jump at the opportunity to drive the #53 Volkswagen Jetta 2.0 GLI powered by 034Motorsport. Another unexpected turn for Reto this season.

San Ramon, CA – Teaming up for the season, with Dave Brown winning Round 1 at Thunderhill Raceway, Gary Trudeau found himself in the position of having to handle peer pressure to emulate his co-drivers result. And boy did he do that with his #52 Hyundai Genesis Coupe!

San Ramon, CA – The challenge following a win is always keeping the momentum up. Bob Accardo in his #29 Howe Chassis 5th Gen Chevy Camaro did exactly that for Round 2 of the 2022 United States Touring Car Championship in the GT class at Sonoma Raceway!

Well-prepared by coach Dave Brown who helped Marion advance through NASA HPDE and Time Trials, Marion got her provisional race license in late March, immediately followed by her first race in NASA Group C.

Buttonwillow, CA – Ali Arsham, driving the GoGoGear.com/Konig Wheels Hyundai Genesis Coupe finished second in the United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) round 7 at Buttonwillow Raceway on October 17, 2021. Arsham finished right behind his teammate Gary Sheehan, who was driving another Hyundai Genesis Coupe. This was the team’s second consecutive 1-2 finish.

October 17, 2021 (Buttonwillow, CA) – Michael McColligan, driving the #36 MC Racing Mazda RX8 finished 7thth in Round 7 of the Hankook Tires United States Touring Car Championship at Buttonwillow Raceway Park.

The last time this configuration was run, the car was successfully driven by Dave Brown to a Second-place finish.

Monterey, CA – Ali Arsham, driving the GoGoGear.com/Konig Wheels Hyundai Genesis Coupe finished second in the United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) round 5 at Laguna Seca Raceway on September 18, 2021. Arsham finished right behind his teammate Gary Sheehan, who was driving another Hyundai Genesis Coupe. This was the team’s first 1-2 finish since 2020.

September 19, 2021 (Monterey, CA) – Michael McColligan, driving the #36 MC Racing Mazda RX8 finished 5th and 4th in Rounds 5 and 6 of the Hankook Tires United States Touring Car Championship at Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca.

San Ramon, CA – After having had issues the last two races, much effort was put into getting everything sorted out with the #53 VW Jetta 2.0 GLI DSG for Reto Baumann. Several trips to the dyno to fine tune the tuning, addressing the turbo hose clamps that had let us down in the past.

San Ramon, CA – Bob Accardo and his #29 Howe Chassis 2010 Chevy Camaro came back for round Five and Six of the 2021 USTCC Championship supporting the NTT Indy Car Series during the Firestone GP of Monterey.

Leading the Championship, the goals were clear: finish both races and to extend the Championship lead.

The car was built by Yvonne and Richard Migliori of the Prototype Development Group, and has had an all-star driver lineup over the years. Its rich racing history includes a Trans-Am Championship with Carl Rydquist and several USTCC GT Championships when driven by Mike Holland, the car’s new owner.

Brad Austin extends his points lead with a victory at Laguna Seca once again! Qualifying second to start the race on Saturday, Brad was still in a great position to have a battle at the front of the pack and a shot at the podium. With an outstanding start at the green flag, Brads Mazda MX5 was hot on the heels of Gary Sheehan in his TC class Hyundai Genesis.

Salinas, CA - The GoGoGear.com Racing Team unveiled their newly developed Honda Civic for Round 5 of the United States Touring Car Championship. Gone was the B18C5 from an Integra Type-R, and in was a newer generation of K24A2 from an Acura TSX.
