May 24, 2025 (Monterey, CA) – Michael McColligan, driving the #36 MC Racing Honda Civic SI, kept his

podium streak going by finishing 3 rd in the Sportsman Class at Round 2 of the 2025 Hankook United

States Touring Car Championship at Laguna Seca Raceway.

MC Racing used new onboard tire pressure measurement to hone their setup in the one and only

practice session. This paid dividends for qualifying as team driver Michael McColligan put the MC Racing

Honda Civic SI in P3 for the standing start. At the drop of the green flag, McColligan got a great launch

and was able to protect the inside line and follow the front two. Despite a tense first lap, McColligan

was able to protect his position and settle into third place. As the race progressed, he slowly pulled a

gap to those behind, but was not quite able to match the pace of the front two, bringing the car home in

a solid P3. “Overall, I am really happy with the race. We had a really clean weekend extracting the

maximum!”, smiled a champagne-soaked McColligan. MC Racing will keep the focus and work hard to

catch the front two for round 3.

MC Racing competes in the Hankook Tires United States Touring Car Championship aboard a Mazda RX8

and Honda Civic SI with support from Idemitsu, Raybestos, Mazda USA, Mazdatrix, Racing Beat, Konig

Wheels, Orafol, Eibach Springs, and Napier Outdoors. For more information, visit
