Arsham Leads Most of the Race but Finishes in Fifth

Willows, CA -- Ali Arsham needed a win to take over first place in the championship at Thunderhill Raceway's Round 4 but the car had other thoughts as a small mechanical hiccup dropped him to fifth place in the race and second in the championship.
Arsham had the perfect strategy and he took over the lead from a fifth place start on lap one and did not relinquish it for most of the race. The GoGoGear.com/Konig Wheels Hyundai Genesis was fast and fuel efficient and hit his target fuel mileage perfectly. Arsham pitted on lap 47 and Gary Trudeau jumped in the car for his stint. With only five minutes remaining in the race, the duo were in the lead and had a lap advantage on the second place car when Trudeau reported that the throttle had stopped working. Trudeau was forced to pit and unfortunately there was no time to make any repairs and they had to settle for a fifth place finish.
