Team Cobalt California Finished Second in Round 2 of 2025

Laguna Seca, CA – May 24, 2025 – Tom Lepper, piloting the GoGoGear.com Racing Honda Civic, delivered a determined performance in the first spring race of the 2025 Touring Car Championship. Despite a strong showing and a car that suffered from brake issues all weekend; the team ultimately secured an exasperating second-place finish.

“Second was all the car could deliver today,” said Lepper after crossing the finish line. “The handling of the car felt great, and the engine power was a pleasure.  Unfortunately, the new rear brakes needed further development.  Without the ability to brake hard in the corners, the car was limited in lap time performance.  We’ve made strides with the brake system upgrades, and we’ll keep refining to keep up with the competition.”

Despite the struggle under braking, with this result, the GoGoGear.com team solidifies its position as a leading contender in the championship standings. The next round will be at Sonoma Raceway on June 22, 2025, where Lepper and the team are focused on claiming the top podium spot and taking the lead in the championship points race.  All friends and fans are invited to see some great racing and enjoy the team’s hospitality (and good food) at this home event for the team.
