The MBO Motorsports Racing Honda Civic Si team returned to action for the 2024 United States Touring Car Championship Series season opener round one and took the win in the Sportsman class.

The Team brings with them returning Sponsors, Rota Wheels, Super Tech valves and Pistons, Advanced Clutch Technology and Victory Automotive and Engines. With these partners help all things can be possible.

The season opener at Thunderhill Raceway came with many challenges as the weather was causing havoc with all the teams' strategies. Veteran championship winning driver Pete Bovenberg once again was behind the wheel of the blue #2 Honda.

"The set up for the conditions continued to change before the race, we decided on an intermediate set up a little dry and a little wet, when the green flag dropped I hit it hard and it hooked up with a great hole shot that allowed me to take the lead and never relinquish it for a well deserved flag to flag win. The podium champagne shower and hat dance after was awesome and enjoyed by all. A well deserved thank you to my crew chief Josh Nauman." The team looks forward to round #2 at Sonoma Raceway next month.
