Victor Ng debut USTCC season opener in Touring Car Series (TC)

Victor Ng joined Touring Car class with AR-G Motorsports

Napa, CA– June 14th, 2020 – AR-G Motorsports announces Victor Ng, a new AR-G team driver, took 3rd place at USTCC race of the 2020 season at Buttonwillow Raceway Park. His first time racing this track, Ng qualified in 2nd, finished 3rd racing on Buttonwillow Raceway’s CW25 configuration.

"The team gave great support and good advice prepping the car well on the site after the first practice session, Edgar made a helpful final adjustment based on my feedback”, said Ng. "This is the first time I am driving the Hankook Z206 slicks and there are a lot of unpredictable responses from the current setup with the Honda S2000. I managed to set up a 2nd fast lap time during the qualifying session and placed 2nd on the starting lineup.”

When the green flag dropped, Ng had a bad start, 3 other TC cars took off on Ng and he had a tough time catching up with them. After battling with a couple turns, Ng finally catches up with the P1 car on a straight. With the handling advantage with Ng’s car, he passed the P1 car and caught up with the podium TC car on a straight. After battling with the podium car for 2 laps Ng’s left side tire overheated and understeer off the track. But he didn’t give up and quickly got back on the track and finished 3rd place for the race.
