Tom Lepper Finishes Just Off the Podium after another Strong Drive

August 21, 2022 (Sonoma, CA) – Tom Lepper, driving the #34 GOGOGEAR Racing Honda Civic, finished just off the podium in P4 after another storming drive at Round 4 of the Hankook Tires United States Touring Car Championship at Sonoma Raceway.

Tom Lepper took over the driving duties for the team of McColligan/Lepper at Sonoma Raceway, one of his strongest and favorite tracks. Mixed-class qualifying is always tricky and Lepper failed to get a clean lap while also battling some misfire issues placing him near the rear of the field for the standing start. The GOGOGEAR Team diagnosed the problem and made some changes to make the car much more drivable for the feature race. Lepper’s racecraft was again on display right after the standing start as he expertly navigated the turn 2 chaos to make up some positions. He pushed hard through the entire race, making some skillful passes to run as high as P3. After a race-long battle with the BMW, he slipped back to P4 at the checkered flag. Once again, his pace and consistency keeps the team in the thick of the Sportsman Class Championship battle.
