What Gary Trudeau had to say about Round 6:

“I had a reasonably good qualifying on both days. The 3point8 Performance tuned car ran well. Although we had to fix a front splitter issue due to a mishap when loading the car to get to Sonoma. All good after the issues were fixed by the incredible Red Panther Motorsport crew and I was looking forward to the challenge. In the race, I had an ok start, but Gary Sheehan in the other Hyundai Genesis got an even better one and was able to put some cars in between us. In T6 I had a break fade issue, that took me wide and I nearly put all four wheels off. From that point on, it was about managing my own race and trying to chase down the leader in class and other cars ahead. Ultimately though, the speed wasn’t there today, and the guys quickly ran away. From then on, my goal was to have a clean race to the end for a great end of my first USTCC season as a driver. Congratulations to Gary Sheehan and his GoGoGear Team for their third TC class Championship in a row.”

Red Panther Motorsport Team Owner, Reto Baumann:

“What a season for Gary! His first as a full time USTCC driver with a newly built car in a TC field with plenty of competition. Gary claimed a first win earlier in the season as well as clinching twice the pole position honors. His consistency got him close to a Championship win which didn’t happen in the end, but certainly should allow him to claim the ‘Top Rookie of the Year’ award. Quite a season with much to come for 2021!”
