Daniel Zargham just misses the podium at Thunderhill

Willows, CA -- Team ARG MBO Motorsports driver, Daniel Zargham, had high hopes going into the Round two weekend at Thunderhill Raceway. He ended up finishing fourth in the Sportsman class in the Dodge SRT4 on August 2, 2020.

The team made a lot of changes to the car prior to the race in the hopes of a second consecutive pole position for the Dodge. Unfortunately, a flat t ire in qualifying dashed Zargham’s hopes for another pole position and he would have to start last.

At the start of the race, Zargham used the turbocharged 2.4 liter engine to power past a few cars and took advantage of a stall in the back of the grid. Zargham worked his way up to third place when his tires started to overheat in the extreme temperatures. “Michael McColligan’s Mazda started to attack me and I did not contest. Then Daniel Milburn started to close in and I had to defend for the last two laps to be able to hold on to fourth place,” commented Zargham after the race. “It was my birthday weekend, and all I wanted was to finish. I got my wish, and now it’s time to focus on winning the next race at Sonoma Raceway,” added Zargham.
