The ARG MBO Motorsports Racing team arrived in Sonoma for round 3 of the United States Touring Car Championship this weekend .The entire team was feeling pretty good after having a very successful weekend at the previous round of USTCC with the team having won the much coveted Top Team Award.

Pete Bovenberg the driver of the ARG MBO Racing Honda Civic SI SuperTech Valves Rota Wheels, Blue Deuce proceeded to once again put the car on the provisional pole during Saturday's qualifying, even after receiving a weight penalty from the last race victory. Sunday morning’s qualifying put Pete Bovenberg on the outside of row one.

The green flag dropped and the entire field raced up the hill to turn 2. "The start was very crazy as we all tried to fit into a very tight spot at the top of turn 2,” said Pete Bovernberg. "I was able to make a crossover move to the inside of turn 2, then held that line down to turn 3. I held my foot hard on the gas through turn 4, which allowed me to get a great run coming down the turn 5 Carousel, which put me in the lead," added Bonberg.

"Unfortunately, my tires went away late in the race and I did everything I could just to hang on to the second place podium finish,” concluded Bovenberg.

This podium finish currently puts Pete Bovenberg in first place for the Sportsman Championship standings. The ARG MBO Motorsports team was very successful at Sonoma as once again as they took the team award home with them once again. The team is looking forward to Round 4 as they hope to continue on with their hot hand for the Top Team Championship.
