May 26, 2024 (Millville, N.J.) – The United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) East held Round 2 of its 2024 season at New Jersey Motorsports Park’s Lightning Raceway.

Brandon Lewis in the Maximum Attack Motorsports new entry VW Jetta was able to secure 1st in Super Touring, keeping Andrew Conner in the On Q Racing E90 just out of reach. Brandon had double duty during this inaugural event for the VW, not only sorting the new car under race conditions, but also fighting tire longevity issues, which is still under team investigation.
Sportsman was another shootout between Martin Szwarc in the Braci Racing Honda Civic and Roger Meada in the StudioVRM Honda Prelude. Roger was bringing the fight to Martin when he suffered a catastrophic engine failure allowing Martin to focus on keeping the Civic on track and securing the 1st step on the podium.

As each team heads home, each has their own set of issues to sort prior to Round 3 at Watkins Glen International at the end of June.
