USTCC East — Watkins Glen International Round 4

The United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) East visited Watkins Glen International for Round 4 of the 2026 season. The weekend delivered close racing, door-to-door battles, and valuable data collection for teams and drivers as they prepare for the season finale.

Saturday — Super Touring (Long Course)

●       Winner: Andrew Conner

●       2nd: Martin Szwarc

●       Notes: Andrew Conner took the Super Touring victory on the WGI long course. Martin Szwarc returned in a freshly rebuilt Honda Civic, completed all laps, and collected important setup and telemetry data for his team.

Saturday — Touring Car (Long Course)

●       Winner: Patryk Tararuj

●       2nd: Daniel Szwarc

●       3rd: Robert Benson

●       Notes: Touring Car produced intense on-track battles throughout the field. Patryk Tararuj claimed the win. Mike McLaughlin suffered boost issues in his Audi A4 early in the race, which kept him off the pace, but he managed to keep the car on track for most laps to gather valuable data and to get his first laps at WGI.

Sunday — Wet Qualifying (Short Course)

●       Conditions: Wet; Hankook F200 wets were used successfully by most entrants.

●       Martin Szwarc was the only driver who did not take the green.

●       Grid (top 4): 1. Patryk Tararuj 2. Robert Benson (on slicks) 3. Daniel Szwarc 4. Mike McLaughlin

●       Notes: Andrew Conner (Super Touring) struggled to put in a representative lap in the wet and started behind the Touring Car field.

Sunday — Super Touring (Short Course)

●       Winner: Andrew Conner

●       2nd: Martin Szwarc

●       Notes: Conner doubled up with a Super Touring win on the short course. Szwarc retired early with a fuel issue but gathered championship points and necessary data.

Sunday — Touring Car (Short Course)

●       Winner: Daniel Szwarc

●       2nd: Robert Benson

●       3rd: Mike McLaughlin

●       Notes: Daniel Szwarc secured the Touring Car race win after a hard-fought battle with Robert Benson, which featured multiple lead changes and bumper-to-bumper action. Mike McLaughlin brought his Audi A4 to the podium in third. Despite inter-class Big Bore traffic, the field showed strong pace and clean racing.
