September 14, 2025 (Watkins Glen, N.Y) – The United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) East rolled into Watkins Glen, NY, for Round 5 of its 2025 season

The weekend promised beautiful northern New York weather and plenty of early spring colors in the trees. Andrew Conner, Daniel Szwarc, Roger Meada, and Patryk Tararuj all made the trek to Lake Seneca's coastal region to do battle on one of America's most iconic circuits.  Roger suffered a catastrophic engine failure at the beginning of Friday's test session, forcing him to trailer the TC Prelude before the start of the race weekend events.

The Super Touring race winner for both the long and short course events was Andrew Conner in his E90 BMW.  Post-race, Andrew commented that “not many tracks cause me to second-guess my abilities behind the wheel, but The Glen always seems to.”

Patryk Tararuj captured Saturday’s long-course race in his BRZ with Dan Szwarc coming in second.

In Sunday's Short Course TC battle in the Touring Car class, Patryk Tararuj in his BRZ took the checkered but was disqualified post-race for a tire infringement, bringing Daniel Szwarc and his 370Z up onto the top spot on the podium.

The series director commented on Daniel’s performance, “Daniel, in his rookie season, showed why he will be a force to be reckoned with for many seasons to come. Consistency and predictability are great building blocks for any new racer.”

The teams now shift their focus to repairs and prep for the season finale, round 6 at NJMP’s Thunderbolt Raceway.
