August 24, 2025 (Wampum, P.A.) – The United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) East rolled into Wampum PA for Round 4 of its 2025 season at PittRace’ s 2.78 mile Full course complex.
The weekend was full of gremlins. Andrew Conner, Martin Szwarc, and Mike McLaughlin all had issues that made the weekend a challenge. Andrew’s ST E90 suffered a catastrophic gearbox failure on Saturday, which ended his weekend. Martin Szwarc’s Civic had an engine fire, and he was also forced to retire on Saturday. Mike McLaughlin’s Audi chased power issues all weekend, keeping him from being fully engaged in the TC fight.
The Super Touring race winner was Anthony Piselli in his WRX. Consistency and car craft kept Anthony out front from the drop of the green.
In the Touring Car class, the battle was fierce. Patryk Tararuj in his BRZ and Daniel Szwarc in his 370Z put on quite a show for the fans. Their bumper-to-bumper battle showed what US Touring Car Championship racing is all about. Daniel was able to outpace Patryk for the win, but it was far from easy.
As the teams shift their focus on repairs and prep, round 5 of the 2025 season will find the team unloading and strategizing for the ever-intimidating Watkins Glen International.
