August 25, 2024 (Wampum, P.A.) – The United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) East Series rolled into western Pennsylvania for Round 5 of its 2024 season at Pittsburgh International Raceway (PittRace).

Brandon Lewis in the Maximum Attack Motorsports VW Jetta spent much of his race weekend battling with mechanical gremlins and a small engine fire, allowing Andrew Conner in the On Q Racing E90 to set the pace of the field without much pressure from his high-powered competition.

Sportsman was a solo masterclass for Martin Szwarc in the Braci Racing Honda Civic, as Roger Maeda's StudioVRM Honda Prelude remains stuck in the garage in the midst of an engine rebuild. Martin managed to focus on keeping the Civic flowing through the unfamiliar track and securing the 1st step on the podium and staying within the top 5 overall finishers all weekend.

As the teams pack up and head home, each one is already working to sort out their issues prior to Round 6 at New Jersey Motorsports Park in October.
