The battle for the championship is on the line at every race, so good, consistent results are a must. The second race of the season to take place at Sonoma Raceway provide to be a wild one across all categories. Lots of contact was made and many sideview mirrors and other body parts stayed out on track as debris, never to be seen or used again.

Wheel to wheel combat was the call on the day. But when the dust had settled the #37 Speed Traveler BMW was on the podium in 3rd place, (equaling the result from the 1st race at Sonoma) and more importantly in front of the main championship rivals. The championship points are dead even going into the USTCC double-header at Laguna Seca, as a support race for the IndyCar weekend and their series finale.
