Incredibly Tight Margins Cost Arsham's GoGoGear.com Hyundai Genesis Coupe

Sonoma, CA - Driving the Konig Wheels Hyundai Genesis Coupe for the second time this season, Reza Arsham was keen to improve on his disappointing finish to the first round. After retiring from the lead at Thunderhill, Arsham had a points deficit to make up at the second round to keep pace with the leaders. Qualifying saw more woes as Reza mistimed his flying lap by a few seconds and crossed the line after seeing the checkered flag, highlighting how tight the margins really are in racing. The missed opportunity meant that Reza would start third on the grid. In the race it was the trio of Gary Trudeau, Josh Lion, and Reza Arsham who were locked in a thrilling head to head battle for the entirety of the race. Arsham tried a few moves on second placed Lion, but was unable to make any stick. Ultimately, the Touring Car field was separated by tenths after thirty hard minutes of racing and there was no way past for Arsham. Reza had to settle for a close fought third place, his first podium in the TC class. Arsham gives way to his experienced teammate Gary Sheehan for the third round of the USTCC championship at Auto Club Speedway.
