USTCC East Region Starting in New Jersey
2018 will see the addition of a professional touring car series, the United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) to New Jersey Motorsports Park schedule. This series has been in existence on the West coast since 2000, and has now been made available to racers on the East coast. The series will begin with six races (three weekends), which will run along side of the New Jersey Road Racing Series (NJRRS) events. As the Series grows, expansion along the east coast is planned to include Summit Point, WV, VIR, Watkins Glen and more.
The USTCC is a professional series, that includes series partners, manufacturer awards, the ability to provide cash purses for finishers (except Sportsmen Class), product awards, television and print coverage and other exciting opportunities all captured within an affordable entry fee. The series provides competitive door to door racing made possible by performance monitoring, realistic classes based on monitored power to weight ratios, competition leveling ballast, and reward weight. (See USTCC rules for more detail)
Interested teams and drivers should take a moment to visit the series website, www.ustcc.com, read the series rules, approved race car platforms, and other pertinent information. The series has named fellow racer Andrew Conner as its East Coast Director. For answer to additional questions you may have regarding this new and exciting opportunity, please contact Andrew at andrew@ustcc.com.
The East Region will be a separate points race than the West so come out and enjoy the fun!
