Andy Hope Wins Infineon Round
Andy Hope, driving the Opak Racing/Spoon Sports Acura RSX-R, won the
Infineon Round of the Nitto Tires United States Touring Car
Championship. Hope, who is one of the Editors for Sport Compact Car
magazine, was never at the front except for the one lap that counted,
the last one. Curt Simmons finished in second place in the Sunnyvale
Dodge SRT-4. Simmons started on the pole and led every lap except for
the last one. Dave Bongiovanni managed to drive a great race and
brought the Goodsport Racing Mitsubishi Evo in third place.
Hope also managed to win the special awards from Molecule Nomex care
products and a Go Pro Camera.
