GOTO:Racing Returns with Two Car Effort in 2006 Season

Scotts Valley CA, 2/27/06 – Continuing on their quest to advance Subaru in Road Racing, GOTO:Racing plans to continue it’s 2005 success by expanding it’s program into 2006. With this year’s partners: Gruppe-S Tuning(www.gruppe-s.com), DMS(www.dmsnorthamerica.com), and RacingBrake(www.racingbrake.com), and with support from Subaru of America, GOTO will return the WRX to USTCC competition as well as debut the first professional road race Legacy GT.

Team Owner and Principal, Steve Lock, continued to be a champion for Subarus in professional road racing by spearheading the Legacy USTCC project during the off season, which will also cross over to Grand-Am. After initial testing, the new model proved to be of the same pedigree as the immensely successful Impreza line, showing that Subaru had outdone itself yet again by building exceptional driver’s cars.

Returning to the drivers seat for 2006 is last year’s Apex ‘I Rookie of the Year and Championship Runner-up Brian Lock, who will also be joined by teammate and older brother Chris Lock. Chris comes to USTCC fresh off winning the Norcal Honda Challenge Season Championship, one of NASA’s most competitive amateur series.

In 2005, GOTO Racing in their first full season of USTCC competition didn’t perform like a rookie team, for they’re no stranger to winning. They are multiple winner and champions of the NASA Racing’s Honda Challenge series. GOTO Racing and driver Brian Lock scored a pair of wins, two second place finishes, six top 5’s and five podiums to finish second in the USTCC driver’s championship standings and won the APEX-I Rookie of The Year Award.

Gruppe-S is deepening their involvement with the team and the series, not only committing their motor tuning expertise, but their manpower as well, as Mike Warfield becomes the newest member of the GOTO:Racing road crew. RacingBrake has also signed on to provide it’s next generation brake technology throughout 2006, while DMS has renewed it’s commitment to provide it’s dampers and springs, a key ingredient of the team’s past success.
